Richmond Hill Academy are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic, dynamic and inspirational colleague to the role of SENDCo. This role is of great importance to our work as an Academy, playing a pivotal role in securing exceptional educational provision for our most vulnerable children.
The successful applicant will be a highly professional, collaborative and motivational colleague who will continue to embed the positive culture of SEND. They will have also have examples of the impact of their work in securing improved outcomes for vulnerable children and young people.
The ideal applicant will have:
* High expectations of themselves, the people they work with and the children they teach.
* Commitment to driving forward pupil progress and achievement, particularly in relation to disadvantaged pupils and pupils with a special educational need and/or disability (SEND).
* A commitment to undertake the NPQ SENCo qualification if they do not already have the NASENCo qualification.
* Effective and reflective leadership and classroom practitioner skills, willing to learn and develop while sharing expertise to develop others.
* Availability to deliver half a day of high-quality teaching per week (pro rata for a full-time position).
* Demonstrate highly effective behaviour for learning techniques.
* Strong focus on standards in order to raise achievements.
* Well organised and able to work well both as part of a team and independently.
* Cheerful with a positive, 'can-do' attitude.
