Position: Warehouse Supervisor Location: Ipswich, IP3 Hours: Current: 08:30am - 5:30pm (1-hour unpaid break) From August 2024: 7am - 7pm, 4 on 4 off shifts Salary: £26,500 per annum initially £28,500 per annum starting August 2024 with new shift hours Employment Type: Permanent opportunity after 12 weeks Role Overview: As a Warehouse Supervisor, you will initially engage in day-to-day warehouse activities, including receiving, handling, and shipping goods. You will have the opportunity to develop your skills and transition into a Shift Manager role. This position is ideal for individuals eager to advance their careers in logistics management. Duties of a Shift Manager: Team Leadership - Oversee and manage a team of warehouse operatives, ensuring efficient workflow and high morale. Operational Supervision - Monitor daily warehouse operations, ensuring tasks are completed accurately and on time. Inventory Control - Maintain accurate inventory records and manage stock levels to ensure availability and reduce discrepancies. Safety Compliance - Ensure all health and safety regulations are strictly followed to maintain a safe working environment. Performance Monitoring - Evaluate team performance, provide feedback, and implement training programs to enhance productivity. Problem Solving - Address operational issues promptly, implement effective solutions, and prevent recurrence. Reporting - Generate regular reports on warehouse operations, including productivity, stock levels, and compliance.
