Our Client, a City of London based Commercial Bank is seeking to hire a Credit Portfolio Officer to join this fantastic team. The role requires the role holder to be fluent in Mandarin. Principal Purpose of the Job : Responsible for assessing, analysing, and managing the potential risks associated with extending credit businesses or other entities. Minimise the Bank’s credit-related losses by monitoring and analysing the loan portfolio and identifying early warning signals. To achieve the objectives at the portfolio levels while considering risk tolerance, return expectations, and market conditions. Ensure timely delivery and accuracy of internal and external report. Produce reports both in Chinese and English. Assist the Head/Deputy Head of Credit Management Department with departmental projects and tasks. Main Responsibilities and Accountabilities: Portfolio monitoring: continuously monitor the credit portfolio to identify important message/early warning signals of distress or deteriorating credit quality by tracking and analysing the repayment patterns, financial covenants, internal rating, country risk, large exposure, and other changes related to credit risk. Credit risk control reporting and analysis: prepare regular reports/MI pack to the Management, committees, Head Office, regulators and other relevant stakeholders, providing updates and analysis on credit risk exposure, risk appetite metrics, and other indicators to reflect the effectiveness of risk management strategies. Credit risk control: including limit reservations for derivatives and money market, and etc. Credit Risk Analysis: Evaluate the credit risk impact to the Bank’s loan book by monitoring and analyzing macro economy, industry/sector trends, peers performance, products, and other specific in depth analysis. Asset Quality management: accountability assessment of non-performing loans and write-off. IFRS 9 provision model calculating and provision overlay charges memo drafting. Other functions and tasks to assist the Head/Deputy Head of Department, such as policy, procedure and operating manual review and renewal. Skills Required : 1) Possesses a minimum of 3-5 years' work experience in credit portfolio management area. 2) Good written and verbal skills in both English and Mandarin. 3) An ability to work unsupervised, good time management skills are essential 4) Strong data analysis capability with tools like Excel and Power BI. Python and Access optional. 5) Proficient and skilled with Microsoft Word and PowerPoint etc. 6) Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
