The post holder will work within the Community Speech and Language Team in Perth, delivering care to children and young people requiring Speech and Language Therapy support under the supervision of qualified Speech and Language Therapy staff. The successful candidate will also provide training and support to education staff and parents and carers. You should possess initiative, good communication skills, be well organised and adaptable. You will have the opportunity to participate in regular supervision and yearly appraisal. You will be expected to participate in the in-service training programme. Applicants should have an interest in working with children and young people, relevant experience as a therapy support worker or equivalent in the health service or other agencies and be educated to SVQ3 level or equivalent. Previous experience of working with children with additional support needs particularly communication difficulties would be an advantage. You must be willing and able to travel throughout Dundee.
