How you'll make a differenceWorking one hour per day, your role is key in providing a safe road crossing service for children and adults. You will ensure safety and orderliness of children and pedestrians approaching or waiting at the crossing point and crossing the road. What you will be doingDaily, you will provide safe road crossing services for children and adults at fixed sites, helping to ensure the safety of children and pedestrians.It will be key for you to build and maintain strong relations with pupils, parents and staff.You will be required to report any problems, hazards or incidents to the Lead Road Safety Officer.Working with a range of basic equipment to complete tasks, you will check stock to ensure that materials which are necessary to do the job are available and report any defects. You must be willing and able to follow road safety procedures ensuring the job is carried out safely. What you need to know:This post is term time only working 30mins in the morning and 30mins in the afternoon. Your salary will be pro rata to hours worked.The hourly rate for this role is £12.26.Please note that due to the nature of this role it is a requirement of employment that an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check is obtained for this post.Applications for this role will close at 11.55pm on 28th February 2025.Interviews will be completed by the 7th March 2025.
