Description
Key Responsibilities/Accountability
1. Preparation of cold snack items food - This will include sandwiches, rolls, baguettes, etc.
2. Preparation of cake or biscuit items for sale
3. Preparation of items on menu as directed by chef manager
4. Serving of food to customers
5. Operation of tills and use of cashless catering
6. Cashing up of tills or loaders as directed by chef manager
7. Clearing up of kitchen and restaurant areas
8. Paperwork as required by registrations
9. Working on teacher training days when required and also any outside events required by school or G4s, for which payment will be provided
10. Any other duties required by the manager
11. Training will be required for all standard procedures and as required by law, which may require travel for which you will be reimbursed
12. North Wiltshire School is spread over three school sites; you may be asked to work at another site if the need arises, and we will reimburse travel expenses
13. This outlines the main areas of requirement but may not fully cover all work required by the school or G4s; at times you may be asked to do something not listed, so the last item reads any other work required by the manager or senior G4s management
14. Uniform and training provided
15. Supervision of staff to ensure timely completion and preparation for service periods
16. Motivate the team to drive forward high standards of preparation and service delivery
17. Cashing up and collation of information for Catering Manager reporting daily
18. Dealing with cashless card queries
19. Training and induction of new and existing staff
Skills and Knowledge

5. An awareness of basic food safety
6. Ability to supervise and delegate tasks as required or directed by Catering Manager
Desirable
1. Working knowledge of the Food Service Industry
2. Knowledge and experience of catering for large numbers
3. Catering within a school environment
4. Supervisory experience within a catering environment
