Job overview
We are recruiting for an Administration Assistant who shares our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients.
The Respiratory Team are looking for a confident, enthusiastic administrator to join our team. On occasions you will sit front of house meeting and greeting patients and relatives as they arrive.
You will be working with all members of the Respiratory and sleep team which includes the Respiratory Nurses, Admin, Sleep/CPAP staff as well as the respiratory consultants ensuring timely management of patients attending the department.
This post requires effective communication and a level of confidence in dealing with the public. You will be supported by the staff in the unit with on the job training.

Main duties of the job
You will provide effective administrative support service to the Respiratory Nurse admin team including co-ordination of outpatients appointments, waiting lists and the patient helpline.
You will work independently using your own initiative and apply a high degree of confidentiality to all aspects of your work.
You will undertake your duties without direct supervision, working within broad procedural guidelines.
Ensure referrals are entered onto Lorenzo with an appropriate access plan in accordance with the 18 week pathway.
To work alongside the TB nursing team to support duties within the Trust and external agencies such as the World Health Organisation (WHO) and Department of Health (DoH).
