The Role
As a Technical Lead, EMEA, you will be at the forefront of creating tailor-made flexible workspace solutions. Your role will involve leading the design and pre-construction activities, from client briefing to contract signature, and then handing over to the delivery teams. You will bridge the gap between client needs and workspace creation, crafting solutions that inspire and engage clients.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead technical engagement for design and pre-construction activities on workplace projects (3,000 to 30,000 sqft).
* Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to develop and value engineer solutions.
* Create and develop briefing materials and participate in project meetings.
* Lead product proposals with a focus on engaging and design-oriented solutions.
* Provide input into the product feedback loop to improve global standards.
* Conduct initial building surveys and support technical due diligence activities.
* Use tools and technology to produce workspace configurations, test fits, virtual tours, cost plans, project timelines, risk registers, and other technical content.
* Leverage standard catalogues and scorecards to drive client decisions on product specifications.
* Work with procurement to ensure supply chain alignment with design intent.
* Manage third-party design consultants and design & build contractors.
* Coordinate with building services design consultants.
* Participate in R&D activities to create a best-in-class product and improve our offering.
* Promote new ways of working, sustainable solutions, and reuse of existing building fit-out where appropriate.
Technical Experience Required:
* Expertise in design/build and workplace design trends.
* Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, visual).
* Experience in managing relationships and ensuring client satisfaction.
* Ability to work to demanding deadlines and hold vendors/partners accountable.
* Understanding of design management processes and scale roll-outs.
* Experience working with occupiers, landlords, and agents in the commercial real estate market.
* Knowledge of design software and tools.
* Working knowledge of statutory regulations and occupancy-related design considerations.
* Ability to conduct objective analysis of properties for occupancy and efficiency.
* Experience managing third-party consultants and contractors.
* Understanding of FF&E products commonly used in corporate office interiors.
* Commercial acumen.
Soft Skills Required:
* Ability to work effectively with teams in office or remote locations (UK & EMEA).
* High emotional intelligence to manage complex stakeholder maps.
