To assess, diagnose and treat nutrition related problems in patients with diabetes. Proactively educate and support patients & their health care team to optimise glycaemic control in the light of diabetes and other co-morbidities/complications. To work with the team to develop patient education resources. To contribute to MDT meetings to improve patient care, treatment and outcomes. To develop and arrange training for members of the multidisciplinary and dietetic team as required. To participate in the training of learners on clinical placement. To develop practice by undertaking journal clubs, audit and project work.
