The role
In this role you will work as part of our friendly and supportive Motor Transport Team to inspect, service, repair and maintain Manchester Airports customers trailed and towable Ground Support Equipment (GSE), plant and fixed assets in line with Civil Aviation Authority Safety Inspection Standards and manufacturers specifications, and MAG policies and procedures. You’ll also conduct certified coded and technical welding on the airports fleet and accurately complete all associated documentation including; job cards, service sheets, work orders and reports.
What will make you successful in the role?
The ideal candidate will have workshop experience in the motor trade along with an NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds in Welding and Fabrication and MIG & TIG Welding to BS EN ISO 4872. A full UK driving license is essential, whilst a HGV, PCV or Fork Lift Truck license would also be advantageous. You’ll also need to be a team player who prioritises the health and safety of yourself, colleagues and customers and be comfortable using technology to complete relevant documentation.
