Job Title: Kitchen Assistant at Strathtay
Join HC-One as a Kitchen Assistant and bring kindness into every aspect of our care homes, including Dementia, Nursing, Residential, and Specialist care. We value individuals who understand that our Residents are people with their own stories and who are committed to giving back to them.
Key Responsibilities
1. Prepare and serve nutritious, healthy meals loved by residents.
2. Maintain high standards of cleanliness, food safety, and hygiene.
3. Manage food supplies and monitor fridge/freezer temperatures.
4. Assist new starters with equipment and maintain kitchen cleanliness.
5. Prioritize Resident wellbeing in all tasks.
Requirements
* Some kitchen experience preferred.
* NVQ2 in Catering or Food Preparation, or willingness to study for one.
* Strong record keeping and organizational skills.
* Ability to follow recipes accurately.
* Kindness and consideration when communicating with Residents and colleagues.
* Ability to recognize signs of abuse, harm, or neglect, and report concerns appropriately.
