Marine Risk/Database Administrator
35 hours per week

£29,192 - £29,795 / £16.00 - £16.33 per hour (Including Distant Islands Allowance)
We are looking for a motivated and organised individual to take up the position of Marine Risk/Database Administrator within Orkney Islands Council’s Marine Services and Transportation.
You should have significant experience in the use of computer packages, including Microsoft Office and experience in the use of database systems.
Additionally, it would be desirable if you have previous experience in stock control / stock taking and in the maintenance of database systems along with an understanding of basic electrical and electronic parts.
The minimum knowledge required for this role can be evidenced by either: Holding a qualification at SCQF 4/5 i.e., SVQ1, SVQ2, Standard Grades, National 4, National 5, Intermediate 1, Intermediate 2, O Grades Or having a minimum of 1 year’s previous relevant experience, as detailed in the experience section of this person specification and have the ability to evidence good general skills in literacy and numeracy.
You should hold a full and current UK driving licence.
