I have an opportunity for an Area Manager to join a rapidly growing ground engineering contractor who cover a variety of sectors including Rail, Highways and Residential. I am looking for people who are technically minded, people-orientated, who enjoy solving problems and winning new business alongside building on existing relationships. You will work directly with clients, with technical experts on hand to assist, working to targets and tight timelines, taking pride in delivering high quality technical services and solutions to your clients. Remote/Home Based - with travel as required covering the South West. Responsibilities for this Area Manager role: - Discover and progress new opportunities and complete pre-visit qualification. - Undertake online and in person site visits as and when required. - Work with engineering team to prepare and design solutions that solve clients' problems. - Interpret site investigation data to assist with the production of details treatment designs. - Prepare pricing and quotations in accordance with company policies and KPI's. - Negotiate contract terms. - Manage planned/proactive follow ups with new clients and all design and quotes issued. - Address client needs and concerns quickly and effectively. - Upsell and cross-sell products and services to existing and new clients. - Contribute to sales process development. - Develop and maintain relationships with clients, stakeholders and business executives. Requirements for this Area Manager role: - 5 years of experience in the construction industry, preferably within Rail, Highways, Local councils' pavement dept, utilities, or geotechnical. - Relevant qualification in construction, engineering, or surveying sectors (BSc, MSc, OND, HND, Degree etc). - Knowledge of grouting in the ground, structural support, void filling, slab lifting, water management and /or subsidence problems. - Proven proactive sales experience and account management skills. - Experience using client relationship management (CRM) or other account management tools. - Experience in a client facing role with evident client care skills. - A full driving licence.
