ScottishPower is hiring a Licence and Accreditation Manager to lead the accreditation process for SPHERE Energy Connect, securing an IDNO licence for the business.
Responsibilities:
1. Accountable for delivering the Accreditation workstream in the implementation phase of SPHERE Connect’s strategic plan.
2. Design, document, and implement core business processes for the successful launch of SPHERE Energy Connect.
3. Represent SPHERE Energy Connect when liaising with Ofgem and Industry Code Bodies.
4. Provide guidance on Licence Conditions, Regulatory Obligations, and future/new Licence requirements.
5. Understand current political and regulatory policies and influence Government and Regulators to support strategic development plans.
6. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental legislation and best practices.
What you’ll bring:
1. Educated to degree level or equivalent in Business, Economics, or Regulation.
2. Experience in a Regulation and/or Compliance environment, preferably in utilities.
3. Expert knowledge of design and operation of distribution networks including substations and plant engineering at voltages below 33kV.
4. Knowledge of construction and maintenance standards for distribution networks.
5. Understanding of the IDNO Regulatory environment, industry codes, and distribution legislation.
6. Commitment to health, safety, and environmental compliance.
You’ll have the ability to manage complex issues, make sound decisions in uncertain environments, and effectively communicate with Government and Regulatory bodies. You should be able to influence cross-functional teams and build strong relationships.
This role requires the ability to travel to different locations across the UK.
