Job summary
The successful candidate will operate within the logistics service team as part of the Procurement Division and will assist in making sure the flow within a critical environment, of all stock requirements is efficient and organised. Assisting in the control of safe receipt, storage, retrieval and timely dispatch and distribution to our customers and end users of a wide range of goods and products. We will provide opportunities to the postholder to further their career and build a specialist skillset within a fast-paced environment where each day will be varied, interesting and challenging.
Main duties of the job
1. Achieve and maintain the highest standards of procurement support to all our customers by ensuring all stock requirements are replenished as necessary to maintain the agreed inventory levels and within the agreed timescales.
2. Ensure that all stock deliveries are processed efficiently and within the correct time frames whilst maintaining high standards of housekeeping and always follow safety and security practices and report any damage or discrepancies.
3. Responsible for the storage and distribution of all stock and to use your initiative to sort out any problems and escalate to line manager as when deemed necessary and communicate non-moving stock and stock out information.
4. Perform general stockroom duties to include but not limited to housekeeping, put-away, stock rotation, cycle counts, systematic replenishments, and other functions according to customer requirements and service level agreements.
5. Perform administration support activities to include but not limited to order entry, expediting, customer call resolution, return goods authorisation, processing of backorders, vendor and customer interaction and problem resolution.
6. Ensure the safeguarding of stock to prevent loss by ensuring stock is always accounted for and handled with care, processed, and stored in accordance with all relevant supplier guidelines and company policies.
