We are currently seeking a highly experienced Lead C&I Engineer with strong expertise in the nuclear industry. This pivotal role will involve leading and managing the design delivery of control and instrumentation systems across a range of multidisciplinary projects. Key Responsibilities: Lead and coordinate design teams for instrumentation, control, and electrical systems across complex nuclear projects. Provide technical leadership, guidance, and support to multidisciplinary design teams, ensuring effective integration and timely delivery of designs. Design, develop, and specify ICA (Instrumentation, PLC, SCADA) systems, motor control systems, system architecture, fieldbus/communication networks, and P&ID's. Ensure compliance with ATEX installation practices and functional safety standards (e.g., IEC 61508/61511). Develop and review control specifications including URS (User Requirements Specification) and FDS (Functional Design Specification). Lead the preparation of schedules and system requirements to meet project timelines and milestones. Perform technical reviews and ensure high-quality standards are maintained throughout the project lifecycle. Manage risk assessments and mitigation strategies related to control and instrumentation systems in the nuclear environment. Engage with stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities, to ensure all project requirements are met and maintained. Required Qualifications and Experience: Chartered Electrical/Instrumentation Engineer (or equivalent). Proven experience in leading design delivery in complex projects, particularly in the nuclear or process industries. In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with ICA design (Instrumentation, PLC, and SCADA systems), motor control systems, and system architecture. Strong familiarity with fieldbus/communication networks, P&ID's, and ATEX installation practices. Extensive experience in functional safety and the development of control specifications (URS/FDS). Strong understanding of project schedules and system requirements within a process/industrial environment. Excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise effectively with internal teams, clients, and stakeholders. Proven leadership capabilities in managing technical teams and driving project success. Desirable Skills: Experience working with regulatory bodies within the nuclear sector. Knowledge of the latest industry standards and regulatory requirements. Experience with system integration and testing in the nuclear or process industries.
