The Revenues and Benefits Service has a vital role in the billing, collection, and recovery of Council Tax and Business Rates.
We currently have an opportunity to join our team as a Revenues Team Leader.
You will lead a team to ensure the delivery of efficient and effective local taxation administration and collection.
In addition to organising and managing the day-to-day functions of your team, you will take a lead on the technical and complex aspects related to the provision of local taxation services to customers.
What you will need to do the role:
This role requires the ideal candidate to have significant experience in working within a Revenues and Benefits department, ideally using the Capita Academy Revenues system. Alternative relevant experience on other equivalent revenues systems will be considered.
Ideally, you will also have experience and competency in the use of Information@work and demonstrable supervisory experience delivering local taxation services to customers, including knowledge and experience of local taxation recovery and enforcement processes.
Appointment to this post will be subject to the outcome of an Enhanced Disclosure obtained through the Disclosure and Barring Service. The Council is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and vulnerable adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
