Description About the Role Newmark are delighted to offer an Insight Week of paid work experience for students 17. Immerse yourself in hands-on experiences from day one, collaborating closely with our esteemed Partners. This is a great opportunity for students to learn about various aspects of real estate, working alongside industry professionals. This week will include hands-on experience in one of our specialist teams. From conducting site visits to engaging in client consultations, drafting reports, and conducting research projects, you’ll gain invaluable insights while honing essential skills such as communication, problem solving and teamwork. Throughout the week, you’ll participate in interactive workshops, CV skills sessions and work on real life case studies to gain an understanding of how the real estate sector operates. You’ll have the exciting opportunity to expand your professional network and connect with our wider group of interns, apprentices, graduates and other colleagues across the business. Successful candidates will join us for the week of the 30 th June to Friday 4 th July. Please ensure you are available this week before submitting an application. Key Responsibilities Shadow senior consultants as they conduct site visits and surveys and conduct market research into emerging trends Learn about different types of building inspections, including structural, environmental, and energy assessments Provide administrative assistance to the team, including maintaining client files, updating databases, and drafting communications. Attend training sessions and workshops focused industries to broaden your knowledge. Participate in discussions around market trends, risk management, and regulatory changes in the property sector. Required Skills Currently attending school (secondary or sixth form) with an interest in business, property, or real estate. Strong communication skills and a keen interest in learning. Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Ability to work in a team and contribute ideas. A proactive attitude and a curiosity to explore the real estate industry. Location This Insight week will take place at our London West End office - One, Fitzroy, 6 Mortimer Street, London, W1T 3JJ. Please ensure you are commutable distance to our office before submitting an application. Working Hours Our working hours are from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm. You will be based at our London West End Office for the duration of your placement. This is a paid placement.
