Estimator\n\nDaniel Owen are looking for an Estimator to join a reputable, leading contractor with a rich heritage, specialising in social housing, planned maintenance, and refurbishment. As they continue to expand their portfolio, they are seeking an experienced Estimator to join their team and play a key role in securing and delivering high-quality projects.\n\nLocation: Birmingham or Staffordshire\n\nPosition: Estimator - social housing\n\nSalary: £60,000 - £70,000 per annum + Car allowance + Package + Hybrid working\n\nContract Type: Permanent\n\nAvailability: This role is immediately available\n\nThe Role:\n\nAs an Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing detailed and competitive tenders for social housing refurbishment and maintenance projects. Working closely with the pre-construction, commercial, and operational teams, you will ensure that bids are accurate, commercially viable, and aligned with both client expectations and company objectives.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nLead the preparation and submission of high-quality cost estimates for social housing contracts\nReview and analyse tender documents, specifications, and drawings to develop comprehensive pricing strategies\nEngage with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing and value-driven solutions\nIdentify project risks and opportunities, providing recommendations for cost efficiency and value engineering\nCollaborate with internal stakeholders, including business development, commercial, and operational teams\nAttend pre-tender and post-tender meetings, providing expert guidance and insight\nSkills & Experience Required\nProven experience as an Estimator within the social housing, refurbishment, or maintenance sector\nStrong understanding of contract pricing, cost control, and estimating methodologies\nExcellent analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills\nAbility to manage multiple tenders simultaneously and meet critical deadlines\nStrong stakeholder engagement and communication skills \n\nThis is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Estimator looking to make a meaningful impact within a company that is dedicated to improving homes, communities, and lives.\n\nHow to Apply:\n\nIf you are an Estimator interested in working for this established company, please apply with your updated CV
