This pivotal role involves leading commissioning efforts across Intermediate Care and managing a team of eight commissioners across both organizations. The ideal candidate must be ready to hit the ground running, with proven managerial experience within Adults’ Services commissioning.
Your role as Head of Integrated Commissioning
As Interim Head of Integrated Commissioning, you will oversee the following areas reporting to the Director of Commissioning:
1. Intermediate Care / Early Intervention / Prevention
2. Reablement
3. Therapies: Local Authority Occupational Therapy, NHS Community Therapies
4. Neuro Pathways and ABI (Acquired Brain Injury) pathways
5. Hospital Discharge Pathway: P0 / P1 / P2 / P3
6. Technology-Enabled Care & Equipment
7. Section 75 agreements
About you as a Head of Integrated Commissioning
1. Have extensive experience at Head of Service level in Integrated Commissioning for Adults’ Services.
2. Demonstrate an excellent understanding of National Policy and best practices governing Integrated Commissioning.
3. Have recent knowledge and experience in intermediate care and reablement, including hospital discharge pathways and community therapies.
4. Are adept at managing teams and collaborating across organizational boundaries.
5. Can provide and present complex, sensitive information to senior stakeholders, negotiating on contentious issues effectively.
