Role: Principal/Senior Electronics Design Engineer
Location: Middlewich (on-site 3 days per week)
Salary: £55,-75, + 10% pension contribution (conditional).
full-time (36 hours per week)
Senior Electronics Engineer to join the development team.
As a Design Engineer you will work in a multi-disciplinary team to specify and deliver a range of key objectives to support and develop products.
Key Skills:
1. Extensive practical experience of electronics design using analogue, FPGAs, microcontrollers, and associated firmware.
2. Experience of low-noise systems.
3. Experience of analogue circuit design.
4. Experience of high voltage power supply design.
5. Experience of switching circuits.
6. Ability to design complex multilayer surface-mount PCBs for low noise and high voltage.
7. Programming in C, C++, C#
8. Experience of product validation and certification for international markets (CE, UL, etc)
Desirable Skills:
9. Experience of PCB schematic capture and PCB layout ideally with Altium Designer
10. Experience with ARM processors, Xilinx/Altera(Intel) VHDL FPGA design.
11. Understanding of Design for Manufacture.
12. Understanding of RF design techniques.
13. Hands on experience of troubleshooting of individual boards/units, and these units within a larger system.
Responsibilities Include:
14. Specification, simulation and productionisation of electronic hardware.
15. Meeting mission and time-critical deadlines for product delivery.
16. Assisting specification and delivery of new product development.
Ideally you will have:
17. Project management methodologies, tools and techniques including requirements definition
18. Ability to work independently as well as in an environment of teamwork and collaboration
19. Ability to meet and coordinate multiple tasks and tight deadlines
20. Ability to function as a team member
21. Excellent organisational and time management skills
22. Strong verbal and written communication skills
23. Honours Degree in Electronics or related scientific discipline.
24. Knowledge of physics.
25. Experience with scientific instrumentation.
