We have an exciting opportunity to join Bristol City Robins Foundation as a Health & Wellbeing Delivery Coach on a 6-month temporary fixed-term contract.
This role will play a vital part in delivering health-based programmes that aim to improve mental and physical health outcomes in our local communities, with a particular focus on supporting people in areas of deprivation. The hours are split across three sessions per week, with days and times to be discussed at interview.
You’ll work with adults looking to make lasting lifestyle changes, improve wellbeing, and build confidence. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about making a difference in people’s lives through compassionate, community-focused health coaching.
Key Details:
* 6-month temporary fixed-term contract
* Minimum of 10 hours per week
* Regular daytime and evening sessions (3 hours per session, 3 times per week)
Your Responsibilities
* Deliver our 12-week group health and wellbeing programme (daytime and evening).
* Provide one-to-one and group coaching on key lifestyle areas: nutrition, physical activity, sleep, stress, and alcohol reduction.
* Use behaviour change models (e.g., COM-B, Cycle of Change) to support sustainable habit change.
* Build trust and positive relationships to empower clients and encourage engagement.
* Track health outcomes (weight, waist, blood pressure, physical activity) and update records within 24 hours.
* Support participants through WhatsApp groups, offering motivation and reminders.
* Work closely with the Health & Wellbeing Practitioner to monitor progress and develop the programme.
* Keep up to date with best practices and integrate new approaches.
* Help us reduce health inequalities by working closely with underserved communities.
You’ll Have:
* Level 2/3 PT or Coaching, Health Coach qualification, or Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) training (desirable)
* Knowledge of health inequalities, particularly in deprived areas
* Strong skills in building rapport, motivational interviewing, and behaviour change techniques
* Experience working with individuals facing physical or mental health challenges
* A commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusive practice
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
* Confidence in using IT and managing data responsibly
* A full UK driving license

Notes:
This position is a fixed-term (June-Nov 2025) (with the potential to extend), 10-hour per week role.
