Software Development Engineer, NextGen Security Automation

The NextGen Security Automation team is looking for a skilled and driven Software Development Engineer (SDE II) to build autonomous security solutions that protect Amazon’s customers. As an SDE II, you will leverage AI/ML technologies to automate security issue remediation at Amazon scale.
Key job responsibilities
1. Develop AI/ML-driven system capable to autonomously remediate security issues.
2. Build and maintain a suite of AI agents capable to perform a set of tasks to safely rolling out in production security fixes at scale.
3. Collaborate with security teams to enhance existing security practices, guardrails, and tooling.
4. Integrate those new solutions into Amazon security ecosystem.
5. Research and prototype new security solutions, evaluating design approaches for technical feasibility.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
1. Experience (non-internship) in professional software development.
2. Experience designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems.
3. Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
1. Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
2. Experience with full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
