To provide a first-class clinical service in Breast & General Radiology. To supervise junior medical staff in Breast & Diagnostic Radiology. To provide radiological expertise in terms of advice for imaging and reporting. To take part in the Radiology Audit, Governance, Consultant and Departmental Meetings & continuing professional development. To prepare for and lead on discussions in appropriate MDTMs. To participate on the Diagnostic on call Consultant Radiology rota. Annual CPR training is expected, along with other mandatory and statutory training.

Trust policy requires that the cost of submitting & processing the successful applicant/s DBS application be recovered via salary deduction following start in post. The amount of £23 (standard disclosure) or £43 (enhanced disclosure) will be deducted from salary, in manageable monthly instalments for up to 3 months following commencement of employment. Bank posts require upfront payment. DBS applications submitted from 2nd December will be subject to the new DBS fee of £26.50 (standard) and £54.50 (Enhanced).

Minimum Requirements:
* GMC registration
* Hold FRCR or equivalent
* Eligible for CCT status
* Demonstrate training and competency within breast imaging and intervention, as well as gynae/general imaging.
Essential Criteria:
* MB ChB (or equivalent)
* MBBS (or equivalent)
* Full registration with the GMC and licence to practise (or eligible for)
* Eligible for specialist register in Radiology
* CCT in Radiology (or equivalent training) or within 6 months of attaining one at time of interview
* Subspecialty training in Cross Sectional Radiology
* Evidence of continuing medical education
* Understanding NHS management structures and the principles of Clinical Governance
* Ability to take full and independent responsibility for clinical care of patients
* Experience of teaching to medical and nursing staff and other disciplines
* Willingness to participate in management activities
* Understanding of financial arrangements in the NHS
* Ability to plan strategically and to exercise sound judgments when faced with conflicting pressures
* Thorough understanding of the principles of clinical audit
* Publication of audit results
* Understanding principles of research
* Proven track record in research
* Publication of research
