Main Duties & Responsibilities:
· Organisation and supervision of geotechnical and geo-environmental site investigations and surveys
· Technical report writing, factual and interpretative, including desk studies, Tier 2 ground investigation reports and remedial strategies
· Design Calculations
· Liaison with contractors and clients
· Client care, including internal and external clients.
General
· At all times work safely, ensuring your own safety and that of others in the Company
· At all times work within all Company procedures and protocols
· Undertake other duties as reasonably requested by the Company
Person Specification
Knowledge / Experience / Qualifications:
· Degree qualified to a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Geography, Civil Engineering or Similar subject
· An MEng or Masters in a Geotechnics or Environmental based course (desirable but not essential)
· Prior experience in a similar role with 2-3+years’ experience
· Strong numerical and analytical skills
· An appreciation of other disciplines which influence geotechnical design, such as structures, highways or rail (desirable but not essential)
· Enthusiasm to move on to the next stage of your career in Geotechnical Engineering/Geo-environmental consultancy underpinned through an understanding of our sector and work and a desire to take on more responsibility
· Be dedicated to the delivery of projects, and the development of the team and business as a whole
· Be planned and organised in your approach to work and meeting deadlines
· Be flexible to the needs of the business, and changes to project plans
· Hold a UK drivers’ licence or equivalent (essential)
· Access to own vehicle is desirable but not essential.
