Purchase Ledger Clerk

Henderson Brown is working exclusively with our ambitious client to support their search for a Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their expanding Finance team in Kettering. This is a unique opportunity to become part of an exciting new venture. In this newly created role, reporting to the Management Accountant, you will play a key role in managing financial transactions, processing invoices, and supporting the smooth running of the purchase ledger function.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Process invoices, expenses, and payments with accuracy and attention to detail.
2. Verify supplier invoices, manage reconciliations, and handle any discrepancies.
3. Prepare weekly supplier payment runs and maintain accurate financial records.
4. Support budget owners in tracking and analysing spending.
5. Drive process improvements within the purchase ledger function.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
1. Minimum of 2 years' experience in purchase ledger or accounts payable.
2. Familiarity with VAT and purchase orders.
3. Experience in food manufacturing is a plus.
4. Detail-oriented, organised, and self-motivated with strong communication skills.
