We are working with a SME, Cardiff-based client to recruit a Senior Bookkeeper who will play a pivotal role in managing financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with relevant financial regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Maintain organized and accurate financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, and other financial transactions.
* Regular bank reconciliations to ensure that all financial transactions are accurately recorded and accounted for.
* Preparation of VAT returns and HMRC reporting.
* Prepare necessary documentation and assist in financial audits.
* Identify opportunities for process improvements in financial procedures and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
* Oversee payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
* Accounts to trial balance with month-end reporting.
Key Skills:
* AAT Qualified or equivalent
* Proven experience as a senior bookkeeper.
* Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Excel.
* Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
* Excellent organizational and time management skills.
* Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
