This Position is open for Epsom, Bristol, Cardiff, Swansea, and Glasgow Offices.
Due to the continued success of our Coastal and Marine Environment Team, we are seeking talented, passionate, and motivated marine environmental consultants to join our Team in AtkinsRéalis’ Water Management Consultancy. If you are looking to join an established team focused on the delivery of interesting and significant projects, supported by a strong culture of wellbeing, innovation, and inclusivity, we would love to hear from you.
This is an exciting time to join a diverse and growing team where you will have the opportunity to develop your technical and project management experience across a range of technical areas and to play an active role in shaping the future direction of the Coastal and Marine Environment team at AtkinsRéalis. The coastal and marine ‘space’ is complicated, a place where different planning, legislative, and physical boundaries meet, eliciting strong feelings in people. There is rarely a simple answer to the questions posed. Our team has a proven track record of delivering a broad range of projects to an even broader range of clients, both in the UK and overseas, including developers, port authorities, local authorities, power companies, and central and devolved governments, working with marine management and licensing organisations and multiple statutory and non-statutory stakeholders.
As a marine environmental consultant at AtkinsRéalis, you can expect to become involved with a range of flood and coastal risk management projects, as well as the environmental impact assessment and marine licensing of port, harbour, bridge, and other transportation, coastal, and marine infrastructure projects. We provide advice and technical solutions to local and national governments, as well as international clients. We work on habitat creation projects, natural capital, maritime spatial planning, coastal zone management, and the Blue Economy.
AtkinsRéalis is one of the world’s most respected design, engineering, and project management consultancies, with over 50,000 employees worldwide. At AtkinsRéalis, we offer more than just a job. We offer an opportunity to make a difference and shape the world to benefit future generations and the natural environment.
As part of this commitment, we understand the need for a diverse and flexible workforce, where work-life balance is important. By default, AtkinsRéalis offers flexible working, with no fixed 9 ‘till 5, no need for a 5-day week, no requirement for a full-time contract, and no requirement to spend all your working time in the office. Our fully integrated IT systems support remote and homeworking. Similarly, AtkinsRéalis’ corporate social responsibility provides the opportunity to give something back to the community, and we run professional networks supporting groups such as local schools, charities, parents, those coming out of the armed forces, and women in engineering.
You will have the chance to develop opportunities and support projects through our increasing portfolio of UK and international work, alongside our staff in Canada, USA, India, Africa, and Asia Pacific. As a major engineering, environmental, and design consultancy, AtkinsRéalis offers opportunities for consultants to work on a wide variety of projects, including those that make an important difference in people’s lives.
