Probation Services Officer
Salary: £26,475 - £31,650 per annum

About the Role
As a Probation Services Officer, you will work with medium and lower risk clients, assessing and managing risks, providing information to courts, and working closely with agencies throughout the justice system. You will also support offenders by providing practical advice on housing and employment, as well as listening and offering guidance.
You will liaise with criminal courts, criminal justice agencies, and other partner agencies to prevent crime and meet the needs of victims and people on probation. Your work will involve reading, understanding, and interpreting policies, writing reports and correspondence for internal and external stakeholders, and demonstrating high-level numeracy and literacy skills.
About You
We are looking for individuals who possess personal qualities such as empathy, patience, and resilience. Ideally, you will have experience of working with people who have social or personal difficulties. A degree is not required; however, you must be able to evidence high-level numeracy and literacy skills, equivalent to at least 5 GCSEs at Grade C or above, including English and Maths.
