About the Role:
As a Laboratory Service Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the delivery and maintenance of their esteemed flow chemistry systems. This role is dynamic and rewarding; you will travel to various customer sites, ensuring their systems run flawlessly while also gathering valuable insights into customer experiences. In this role you will be working 40 hours per week.
Main duties and responsibilities include:
Conducting qualifications of flow chemistry systems during office hours.
Executing maintenance and upgrade services at laboratory sites and in-house.
Engaging with customers to discuss applications and collect feedback on their experiences.
Advising customers on preventative maintenance and ensuring their satisfaction through efficient repair services.
Providing technical support via phone and email, demonstrating your expertise and problem-solving skills.
Developing technical bulletins and guides to aid our customer base.
About you:
You should be a motivated Laboratory Service Engineer who is ready to embrace challenges and exceed expectations. You will possess a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a laboratory service or installation role, an NVQ Level 3 or higher diploma/degree in engineering or chemical engineering, proven logical troubleshooting techniques, and excellent verbal and written communication skills. Additionally, you should have a passion for travel and customer engagement, with the ability to work with minimal supervision after training. Proficiency in Windows, Excel, and Word is essential. Desirable attributes include experience in the scientific industry and laboratory environment, electro-mechanical expertise, and familiarity with international work.
