Accounts Receivable Controller
Location : Birmingham (hybrid working)
Salary : £27,500 per annum
Job Type : Fixed-term, 12 months, full-time (35 hours per week)
Latham & Bond HR are recruiting for our client, a leading registered charity dedicated to preventing accidents and creating a safer world. This role is integral to their finance team, focusing on ensuring the timely collection of debts in line with company terms and conditions.
Key Responsibilities :
* Proactively follow up on overdue accounts and resolve disputes or issues preventing payment.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of customer accounts, including payment histories and relevant details.
* Reconcile customer accounts to ensure proper recording and application of payments and credits.
* Collaborate with internal teams, including sales and operations, to address customer inquiries and issues.
* Provide regular reports and updates on accounts receivable to management.
* Support continuous improvement of accounts receivable processes for increased efficiency and accuracy.
* Manage supplier portal accounts by uploading invoices.
* Ensure internal departments adhere to customer account setup processes.
* Contribute to project-specific tasks, including process reviews and documentation improvements.
* Maintain compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards related to the role.
Skills and Attributes :
* Proven credit control experience with strong customer service orientation.
* Excellent communication skills with a professional and friendly telephone manner.
* Ability to identify, investigate, and resolve discrepancies independently.
* GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English, with two years of transferable accounts experience preferred.
* High attention to detail, proactive mindset, and willingness to learn.
