A Vacancy at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.
This post involves working within our inpatient HIV services which also includes Oncology and Haematology, our outpatient chemotherapy day unit which includes HIV patient reviews and also Dermatology outpatients cross site. The post holder will lead and be responsible for the delivery of high quality care and patient experience in their areas through proactive clinical and professional leadership to nursing staff at all levels within their clinical area of responsibility. The post holder will need to ensure the delivery of high quality, evidence based, compassionate nursing care, and that the workforce is managed efficiently and effectively.
The post holder will contribute to the ongoing implementation of the Trusts nursing, midwifery and corporate objectives, developing the service and nursing roles to meet the evolving needs of patients and families.
The individual will undertake the key functions of the Matron Role ensuring the patient experience in each area is of the highest possible standard at all times with particular emphasis on the provision of dignified and compassionate care which is delivered in a safe and clean environment.
The post holder will work with the Senior Nursing and Management Team in developing and implementing Directorate strategies to achieve the Trusts objectives and ensure that effective governance arrangements are implemented and maintained.
• Lead and be responsible for the delivery of high quality care and patient experience. The post holder will need to ensure the delivery of high quality, evidence based, compassionate nursing care, and that the workforce is managed efficiently and effectively.
• Work in partnership with the clinical lead on specified development projects to improve the patient experience within the different areas.
• Responsible for the management of the delivery of HIV and Dermatology services within the outpatients department (Dermatology), day care (GDU) and within the ward (RJW) environment across both Hospital sites.
• Provide professional leadership to all non-medical staff within the area, and working with ward managers to ensure adequate support.
• Contribute to the ongoing implementation of the Trust’s nursing, midwifery and corporate objectives, developing the service and nursing role to meet the evolving needs of patients and families.

• Ensure the workforce is clinically skilled to provide high quality care to patients attending services at both Hospital sites. Ensure staff are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver this high quality service that is efficient, effective and responsive to the changing needs of the local population and specialities.
• Ensure that all activities in the area are carried out within the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust policy and guidelines and within the philosophy of the HIV, Sexual and Gender Health and Dermatology Directorate.
• Support the delivery and achievement of key targets related to HIV and Dermatology e.g. Performance reports, RTT targets, KPIs, CQUIN’s, CIP’s etc.
• Work with the Divisional Deputy Director of Nursing and the Senior Management Team in developing and implementing a Divisional strategy to achieve the Trust’s objectives and ensure that effective governance arrangements are implemented and maintained.
• Work as a Senior Nurse on Site to provide out of hours support to the Clinic Site Manager and the Trust on a rotational basis.
