What is the job?
As a Yard Operative, you will have processing experience preferably in the waste industry and be able to drive a FLT/Telehandler but training will be given to the right candidate. You will responsible for maintaining a clean and organised yard, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and, communicating effectively with colleagues and all site visitors.
A good level of fitness is required as the role is highly manual.
Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday, Days.
Working Hours: 50 hours per week.
Roles available at both our Tilbury 1 & 2 locations.
Key Responsibilities
* Quality controlling of inbound material to site, sorting out contaminates from material.
* Communication though 2-way radio with weighbridge and processing staff and verbal with drivers to site.
* Traffic management controlling vehicles on site to maintain a safe operating environment.
* Maintain the working area to high standard of cleanliness
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Essential
* Good communication skills
Desirable
* Worked with in the waste industry
* Knowledge of Environment agency
* Machine operating experience
* FLT/Telehandler licence
