Reporting to our Manufacturing Engineering Manager and based out of our Technical Centre in Crowborough, East Sussex, our new colleague will lead process and equipment improvements, support new product introduction (NPI), and ensure manufacturing processes meet quality and efficiency standards. About the Opportunity: Collaborate with engineering and production teams to ensure manufacturability of products. Lead or support strategic projects (e.g., line expansions, equipment upgrades). Create, validate, and implement manufacturing plans for NPI. Design and commission jigs, fixtures, and tools for production. Conduct and update PFMEA activities. Develop and refine lean production lines and processes. Implement and improve production SOPs. Train production staff on new processes and tools. Apply Kaizen principles to improve processes, equipment, and workflows, focusing on strategic and systemic improvements. Lead Value Stream Mapping activities. About your Talent: Essential Skills and Experience: Experience in carrying out Risk Assessments/Hazard Analysis. Experience in lean manufacturing and continuous improvement. Strong problem-solving and communication skills. Specification and design of tools/fixtures/processes. Attention to detail. Confident working with minimal supervision. Understanding of Industrial Controls and safety systems. Desirable Skills and Experience: Familiarity with SolidWorks or other CAD tools. Knowledge of PFMEA and process validation. Exposure to Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) principles and methods. Software (Python, C/C++, VBA, SQL, MATLAB, PLC Programming, LabVIEW).
