Residential Support Worker - 42 hours a week - TERM TIME
Interaction have a great opportunity for a Residential Care Worker Role within a team supporting people from the ages of 9-25. Everyday as a Residential Care Worker is different. You'll be supporting young people who live on site to develop their independent living skills, as well as organising social activities.
Pay rate:
£21,790-£27,863 depending on experience
Shifts:
Mixture of days and nights, which will reflect on the pay rate.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Ensure you supervise service users evening, overnight and weekends as required including transport duty for their return home.
2. Ensuring a caring, ordered and supportive environment is provided and maintained for students.
3. Working within the care provision to promote and develop service users' education and independence.
4. Creating and/or developing holistic support plans and targets that support the service users to develop their education and independence for the future.
5. Assisting in the behaviour management.
6. Accompanying students on recreational activities.
7. Working as part of a team to provide a programme of evening & weekend activities.
8. Promoting the social and emotional well-being & development of students.
9. Regularly liaising with other Academy staff.
10. Undertaking any administrative tasks linked to the care of the service users, e.g., keeping records and making reports as required.
11. Keeping up to date with policies.
12. Assisting with the medical and physical needs of the service users.
13. Promoting and safeguarding the welfare of the service users.
