Job Title: Building Surveyor
Contract Length: 12 Months
Location: Primarily Cumbria (with occasional travel to Manchester for team meetings)
Rate: Up to £450 per day (Umbrella)
IR35 Status: Inside IR35
We are currently seeking an experienced Building Surveyor to join a high-profile infrastructure organisation on a long-term contract basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional with a strong surveying background and familiarity with rail or infrastructure environments.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee and manage surveying works across various sites, predominantly in the Cumbria region.
* Conduct site visits on a near-daily basis (a company vehicle and fuel card will be provided).
* Collaborate with engineering teams and stakeholders to deliver surveying activities in line with project goals.
* Attend occasional team meetings at the Manchester-based office.
Essential Criteria:
* Degree in Surveying or equivalent industry-recognised training.
* Membership of a relevant professional institution (e.g. RICS, CIOB, etc.).
* Strong communication and team collaboration skills.
* Full UK Driving Licence.
Safety Competencies:
* PTS (Personal Track Safety)
* ACDC (Associated Competencies for Direct Current systems)
* Working at Height (preferred; candidates must be willing to obtain this if not already held)
Desirable:
* Previous experience in the rail industry or major infrastructure projects.
* Solid understanding of related engineering disciplines.
