Electrical Engineering Assessor

We are working with an education provider in West Yorkshire who are looking for an Electrical Engineering Assessor to join their engineering training team on a full-time, permanent basis. Working hours will be 8:30am to 4:30pm (Monday to Friday).
As part of the role, you will:
1. Spend time visiting the learners’ place of work, conducting work-based reviews and providing support, information and advice to learners and prospective learners signposting to internal and external sources where appropriate.
2. Ensure that learners complete qualifications, apprenticeship standards and learning programmes in a timely manner and report those in danger of not being timely to the Delivery Team Director and employers.
3. Maintain appropriate records of learner progress and achievement.
4. Build and maintain relationships with employers to understand their requirements and offer appropriate solutions.
5. Support business development and recruitment activities at internal and external events and during apprentice recruitment.
6. Undertake internal quality assurance processes and work with the Delivery Team Director to ensure that appropriate Awarding Organisation approval is obtained and maintained and adapted in line with customer and organisational requirements.
The starting salary for this position is £33,364 p/a plus a £5,700 annual car allowance, and the package would also include business mileage, a company pension, and 25 days holiday (plus Bank Holidays and closure days).
To be eligible for the position, you MUST have:
1. Industry experience in Electrical Engineering, with current knowledge and the ability to deliver to industry standard.
2. An Assessor award (or willingness to complete one as soon as possible)
3. Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
6. Commitment to continuous professional development.
