The Role We are seeking an experienced Accountant to manage our clients financial operations, ensuring compliance and efficiency. You will play a key role in financial planning, reporting, and ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the finance function. Your day to day responsibilities will include: Financial Management & Reporting Overseeing and managing daily financial transactions. Producing monthly management accounts and financial reports. Ensuring accurate and timely month-end and year-end close processes. Supporting external audits and liaising with auditors. Cash Flow & Forecasting Monitoring and managing cash flow to ensure financial stability. Preparing financial forecasts, budgets, and variance analysis. Advising on financial risks and mitigation strategies. Accounts Payable & Receivable Managing supplier payments and invoicing processes. Ensuring timely collection of outstanding payments. Reviewing and reconciling bank statements and transactions. Multi-Currency Accounting Handling foreign currency transactions and reconciliations. Managing exchange rate fluctuations and their impact on financial statements. Tax & Compliance Ensuring VAT, PAYE, and corporation tax compliance. Keeping up to date with financial regulations and reporting requirements. Maintaining accurate financial records in line with HMRC and industry standards. Process Improvement & System Management Identifying areas for process improvement and implementing financial controls. Working with accounting software and ensuring data accuracy. What We’re Looking For Essential Requirements: AAT Level 4 / ACCA Qualified Minimum of 5 years of industrial accounting experience Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent attention to detail and accuracy Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines This is an excellent opportunity for an accountant looking for a role with variety and responsibility in a growing business.
