Dunbar Education is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) to work on a 1:1 basis with a primary-aged child who has additional needs in a Telford primary school. This rewarding role requires patience, empathy, and a commitment to helping children thrive in an inclusive educational setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide tailored 1:1 support to a child with additional needs, assisting with their learning, social interaction, and overall well-being.
Collaborate closely with the class teacher, SENCo, and other professionals to implement and adapt individual learning plans (IEPs).
Promote a positive, inclusive, and supportive environment for the child, enabling them to access the curriculum.
Monitor and report on the child's progress, supporting any required adjustments to ensure their development.
Foster a safe, engaging, and respectful atmosphere within the classroom.Requirements:
Experience working with children with additional needs, preferably in a school setting.
A genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Patience, resilience, and adaptability to meet the child's needs effectively.
Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection.Desirable:
SEN-specific training or qualifications.
