Job Title: Assistant Manager
Location: Scunthorpe
Days and Hours of Work: 42 hours per week/ Monday-Friday & 2 Saturdays per month
Reports To: Branch Manager
Job Purpose:
To always deliver the highest levels of customer service and a culture of excellence with the Branch.
Key Accountabilities:
1. To identify and pick stock items for customers in a timely manner
2. To load and deliver products in a timely and professional way.
3. You will maintain and excellent relationship with customers
4. Maintain accurate records of sales and deliveries
5. To control stock levels and inform manager when stock is required.
6. Maintain good condition of the branch vehicle by checking and reporting concerns
7. when required.
8. Ensures Banking is completed daily, and all cash is deposited or secured at close
9. of business in accordance with company procedures.
10. Where appropriate delegate responsibility with accountability and follow-up
11. Provide cover in the absence of the Branch Manager.
12. To support the Branch Manager with ensuring staff meet or exceed all activity
13. standards required and the Branch is staffed at all time
14. To support the sales and marketing plans of the business
15. To support the branch action plan and to ensure the branch maintains existing
16. business & obtains new business.
17. To assist in the development and implementation of sales and marketing plans of
18. the business.
19. Liaise and cooperate with all work colleagues within the company, group and
20. wider Epwin community.
21. Adheres to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes
22. Assist in training and performance reviews and support the team to develop
23. Contributes to the culture where standards are of the highest standards,
24. maintaining good housekeeping within the branch.
25. Carries out activities in line with safe systems of work as well as using personal
26. safety device in line with work type
Key Experiences and Skills Required:
27. Experience of working in a trade environment
28. Experience of customer service
29. Demonstrate the highest levels of customer service
30. Experience of dealing with cash
31. Full driving license
32. Desirables Skills, Qualifications and Experience Required:
33. Good local Knowledge, and knowledge of the local road system.
34. PC Literate
35. Able to listen and follow instructions
36. Ideally some knowledge of the construction industry
37. Able to work well within a close team environment
38. Experience of managing a team
