Postdoctoral Researcher
Salary: £39,375 per annum
Location: MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology, Cambridge, UK
We are looking for a Postdoctoral Researcher to join Lori Passmore’s group to study the molecular mechanisms of DNA repair. We will build on recent advances from the group showing how the FANCD2-FANCI DNA clamp recognises DNA (Alcón et al 2024). This project aims to investigate how FANCD2-FANCI promotes DNA repair using cryoEM and single molecule imaging.
The ideal candidate will have a PhD in a relevant subject (or due to complete within 6 months) and expertise in structural biology or single molecule imaging. Additional training can be provided.
This is a three-year training and development position suitable for you if you have recently completed your doctoral studies or are looking to move into a new research discipline and/or need to further develop your research skills. You will be working with world-class scientists in an Institute renowned for its excellent scientific facilities and high-quality research.
