Job summary Weston House Practice is looking for a part time phlebotomist to join our friendly team in Cheltenham caring for 19,500 patients over two sites. You will work as part of our supportive Nursing Team. The ideal candidate will have previous experience of phlebotomy and have strong interpersonal and communication skills. Main duties of the job Perform venepuncture to collect blood samples from patients using safe and hygienic techniques. Ensure all samples are correctly labelled and handled for analysis. Perform INR tests using INR Star, full training will be provided. Maintain accurate records in SystmOne in compliance with clinical standards. Maintain a clean and organised work area in compliance with Infection Control and Health & Safety regulations. Support the nursing team in administrative tasks when required. About us Weston House Practice is based in St Paul's Medical Centre with a branch surgery at Up Hatherley in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire caring for 19,300 patients across both sites. We are a team of 8 GP partners, 6 Salaried GPs and an extended clinical team of 1 Advanced Nurse Practitioner, 4 Practice Nurses, 3 HCAs, & a phlebotomist. We are part of a PCN based in St Paul's Medical Centre. The practice benefits from a multidisciplinary team of clinical pharmacists, first contract practitioners, paramedics and social prescribers.
