Role, Team & Location
We are looking for a Project Manager to join our team. This role is based at our office in Cramlington, England. You will be responsible for the successful execution of projects, ensuring timely delivery, compliance with specifications, and staying within budget. You will collaborate with various teams to ensure smooth project execution and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
As a Project Manager, you will oversee the entire project lifecycle. You’ll begin by reviewing customer documents and creating detailed project plans and schedules, ensuring alignment with business strategies and budgets. You’ll actively monitor project costs, and work with clients to resolve any discrepancies between quoted equipment and specifications.
You’ll prepare regular status reports for management, manage all client correspondence, and ensure all involved departments have the necessary information to meet project requirements. You’ll work closely with Purchasing and Logistics to ensure materials are available on time and coordinate field service and commissioning activities to ensure everything is delivered as per schedule.
You will be responsible for the proper submission of documents, including uploading and downloading via client systems, and managing packaging lists and labels. In addition, you’ll support and guide Project Engineers and Assistant Engineers, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Your role will also involve maintaining a focus on quality, monitoring progress, and adjusting plans as necessary. Travel will be required as part of this role
What You Bring
Experience & Education:
* Minimum 3 years of project management experience, preferably gained in a technical or engineering environment.
* Desirable – BEng Engineering/Project Management/Operations.
* Experience with project management tools like MS Project and ERP systems (Epicor).
* Familiarity with fabrication techniques and engineering principles.
Technical Skills:
* Strong knowledge of project management principles and tools.
* Ability to interpret and communicate engineering drawings.
* Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, MS Project, and ERP (Epicor).
* Knowledge of AutoCAD and 3D Inventor is a plus.
