Are you an experienced Project Manager seeking a leadership role within a prominent large contractor in the water industry? Our client, a leading contractor known for delivering exceptional infrastructure projects, is looking for a proactive Project Manager to oversee critical water infrastructure initiatives within the Southern Water region.
Responsibilities:
* Manage the end–to–end delivery of water infrastructure projects, ensuring they meet client expectations, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
* Develop and implement project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
* Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, contractors, and stakeholders, to ensure seamless execution.
* Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to keep projects on track.
* Oversee procurement processes, ensuring materials and services meet quality standards and project specifications.
* Conduct regular progress meetings with clients and stakeholders, providing clear updates and addressing concerns.
* Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards across all project activities.
* Manage financial performance, including budget control, cost forecasting, and reporting.
* Lead and motivate project teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Project Manager in the water sector or related infrastructure industries.
* Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and tools, with the ability to deliver complex projects on time and within budget.
* Excellent leadership and communication skills to manage teams and engage with clients and stakeholders effectively.
* A degree or professional qualification in project management, civil engineering, or a related discipline (e.g., PRINCE2, APM, PMP).
* Familiarity with the Southern Water Framework or similar utility frameworks is highly desirable.
* Strong problem–solving skills and a proactive approach to overcoming project challenges.
