The Security & Soft Services Manager is responsible for overseeing 24/7 security operations in line with client security protocols, housekeeping, waste management, and pest control services across the multi building site, ensuring a secure, high-quality working environment for both colleagues and visitors. This includes managing physical security guarding, creating, and maintaining assignment instructions and SOPs, and ensuring continuous security coverage through effective rota management. Key duties include managing access control systems, maintaining records of access credentials, overseeing CCTV operations, responding to alarms and faults, investigating security breaches, and managing on-site parking and traffic, providing daily / weekly occupancy and utilisation reports as required. The manager will also maintain an up-to-date vehicle register, handle incident management, and serve as the site Incident Controller in line with Sage’s Emergency Response Plan.
In addition to security duties, the role shall ensure the effective delivery of cleaning, waste management, and pest control services in compliance with contract requirements and statutory regulations. Including the delivery of daily and deep clean tasks to schedule using environmentally friendly materials, ensuring supplies are stocked and sanitary product disposal units are properly maintained. The role shall serve as the first point of contact for client event management, including meeting setups and resource coordination. Strong leadership, communication, and coordination skills are essential for successful service delivery and operational management along with building and maintaining strong relationships with the client, acting as a trusted source of support and assistance.
Key Duties and Responsibilities

* Uphold our commitment to safety by ensuring compliance with all Health & Safety legislation.
* Maintain a strong interface with our clients, ensuring their needs are met and challenging performance for continuous improvement.
* Keep everyone in the loop with regular reporting and updates on soft services.
* Take charge of your own administration, ensuring everything runs smoothly.
* Reporting to Account Manager, supervise the soft service team looking after Security and Cleaning, which operate a 365-day, 24/7 service. Focus on their performance in terms of uniform, standards of cleanliness and professional behaviour whilst on duty.
* Ensure all security and cleaning operative rota’s are accurate and fit for purpose.
* Regularly review and update security assignment instructions and SOP’s.
* Work closely with the Site Cleaning team, and cross over where necessary to cover the cleaning duties and supervision.
* Be responsible for the supervision of a flexible workforce, ensuring that resources are directed to where they are required.
* To ensure as high a standard of security as possible is maintained onsite.
* Provide excellent customer service, going above and beyond the level required.
* Protect our client’s property and staff by maintaining a safe and secure environment.
* Act lawfully at all times on our client’s premises.
* Report in detail any suspicious incidents, taking accurate notes of all unusual occurrences.
* Have a proactive approach, be alert and eliminate problems before they progress.
* Support the Account Manager with investigations as required where the process or outcome may be particularly sensitive or have serious implications for the security of the site and its staff.
* Ensure all necessary audits and inspections have been carried out and equipment is in serviceable condition.
* In conjunction with the Account Manager, ensure that staffing levels are always sufficient.
* Support the Account Manager in carrying out team appraisals.
* Advise the Account Manager or in their absence the Account Director of any security issues, incidents, and exceptional matters as appropriate.
* Carry out regular site audits to ensure that Local Operating Procedures are adhered to by all members of the site team, rotations must be equal and fair.
* Responsible for ensuring Health and Safety is adhered to so far as is reasonably practicable, ensuring a safe working environment for all employees.
* Ensure all fire alarm activations are responded to appropriately in accordance with site procedures.
* Assist with new starter recruitment, inductions/training.
* Cover any shift absences as required.
* Complete any reasonable management instruction as directed by Andron or Client Management.
