As a Senior CAD Technician you will be responsible for producing design deliverables in the Mechanical and/or Electrical engineering office. The position is required to support our expanding Water Utilities workload and will typically involve providing designs for water and wastewater; infrastructure and non-infrastructure projects. This will include design delivery at all stages, from feasibility and optioneering through to detailed designs for construction, and commissioning. The specific role is required primarily to support our Severn Trent, United Utilities and Northumbrian Water however there will be ample opportunities to work on other projects and frameworks throughout the UK for a variety of clients. This vacancy for the position of Senior CAD Technician and is required to support our growing workload within the Wastewater and Water sectors. This is a full time permanent vacancy and will be of hybrid working from home and also at one of our offices. We have offices based in Birmingham, Scotland, Derby and the North West. Key responsibilities Work to project controls, guidelines and procedures Support the Design Lead/CAD Manager and other team members in undertaking a wide range of design related tasks Undertake design, and modelling activities using Autodesk Civil 3D or other third party software packages where appropriate (ie. Autodesk Revit, Navisworks) Supporting the adherence of BIM Procedures on relevant projects Production of AutoCAD drawings in accordance with the CAD procedures Assisting with the production of project documentation, and reports Essential Requirements: HNC/HND in Engineering, or relevant discipline (or a similar approved qualification) Computer literate and conversant with Autodesk Civil 3D, Autodesk Navisworks and associated 3rd party packages, and MS Office suite Basic project management understanding in a multi-disciplinary project environment Benefits We offer a competitive salary that is based on proven skills and experience.
