Part-time Senior Administrator
Outskirts of Attleborough
£13.67 - £15.27 per hour (32 hours per week, term time only, total of 41 weeks per year)
Local rural based school are seeking a Part-time Senior Administrator to join their team. This will be a term time role only, working a total of 32 hours a week, 41 weeks per year. There is the possibility to work 3 days on-site and one day from home.
You will be responsible for providing and leading a comprehensive, administrative service to support the smooth running of the two schools.
You will be required to:
1. Work confidentially, independently and to prioritise work as necessary and without direct supervision on all routine matters
2. You will be the first point of contact for student referrals and admissions of new pupils joining and leaving the schools, and the local authorities, external agencies, staff and parents
3. Provide Executive Assistant support to the Principal and wider support to the SLT
4. Diary management of the principal and SLT where required
5. Overseeing the day to day management of the administration of the office
6. Overseeing the admissions and absences first calling mailboxes and maintaining calendar of events and bookings
7. Scheduling regular events and meetings, preparing meeting materials and managing attendees
8. Providing support and leadership as appropriate for large scale events
9. First point of contact with the local authorities, external agencies, staff and parents of new pupils joining and leaving the schools
10. Working alongside the Business Development team and SLT reporting on admissions and pupil numbers in line with agreed budgets
11. Organising assessment visits for pupils and support the organising of open mornings for pupils and parents
12. Assisting in completing official returns on admissions, numbers on roll etc.
13. Working in collaboration with marketing to support open days through Eventbrite
14. Line management of administration support roles with responsibility for performance management
15. Coordinating and managing reception cover as part of the administration team
16. Appropriate allocation of administrative tasks for the admin support roles, according to the business needs and key priorities
17. Acting as a champion for Engage MIS ensuring accurate records are maintained and raise issues when necessary
18. Overseeing the absence process of registering of students
To be successful in your application you will have:
19. Previous experience providing successful support to Senior Managers
20. Proven discretion, tact, diplomacy and confidentiality in dealing with adults and children
21. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
22. Good literacy skills to prepare correspondence and reports and maintain records to a high standard
23. Excellent command of Microsoft Office Applications
24. Excellent administrative skills
25. Good organisational skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy
26. Experience of a busy and sometimes pressurised office environment
27. Ability to prioritise effectively
28. Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
29. Flexibility to work occasionally early or late and at weekends as necessary
30. Knowledge of Data Protection Act

This role will be working 32 hours per week - 8.30am - 5pm (some flexibility re earlier start/later finish as long as 32 hours worked)
This is a term time role plus 3 weeks working 41 weeks per year in total.
Due to the location of the school, candidates must hold a full UK driving licence and have access to their own vehicle.
Successful applicants will be subject to pre-employment safeguarding checks including an enhanced disclosure and barring service (DBS) check.
