Role Overview
Our client is seeking a dedicated HSEQ Advisor to join their team on a permanent, long-term basis. The successful candidate will play a key role in championing health, safety, environmental, and quality standards across operations. This position is ideal for someone passionate about driving compliance, fostering a proactive safety culture, and ensuring adherence to best practices and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
Health & Safety:
Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments to ensure compliance with HSE regulations.
Deliver toolbox talks, safety inductions, and training sessions to teams and contractors.
Investigate incidents and near-misses, providing recommendations for corrective and preventive actions.
Environment:
Promote and monitor adherence to environmental standards, including ISO 14001.
Support sustainability initiatives, such as waste management, energy efficiency, and pollution prevention.
Track and report on environmental performance metrics, driving continuous improvement.
Quality:
Ensure compliance with quality management systems, including ISO 9001.
Support internal and external audits, addressing non-conformance issues effectively.
Collaborate with teams to enhance processes and ensure consistent quality delivery.Requirements
Qualifications:
NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent in Occupational Health & Safety.
Environmental Management qualification (e.g., IEMA or equivalent) is desirable.
Relevant certifications in Quality Management Systems (e.g., ISO 9001 Lead Auditor) are advantageous.
Experience:
Proven experience in a similar HSEQ role, ideally within [insert industry, e.g., construction, manufacturing].
Strong knowledge of ISO standards (45001, 14001, and 9001) and relevant health and safety regulations.
Experience conducting audits, risk assessments, and delivering training.
Skills:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
Strong organizational and time management abilities.
