The Surfacing Solutions business provides a national contracting service which delivers a wide range of asphalt surfacing services across the UK. We offer comprehensive asphalt surfacing solutions for the construction and maintenance of public highways; infrastructure; airfields; residential and industrial developments. Our business delivers projects for government bodies, local authorities, industrial and commercial, through to domestic clients nationwide.
The Trainee Site Supervisorwill support the Area Surfacing Manager to provide a safe and efficient delivery of surfacing projects, including traffic management, minor civils, planning and lining.
Key Responsibilities
You will be logically minded and possess excellent organisational skills and be confident dealing directly with internal and external customers on both a formal and informal level and have excellent numerical skills and the ability to work under pressure with a high level of interpersonal and communication skills. You will also have the ability to adapt, co-ordinate and optimise resources effectively, in order to minimise any unnecessary costs and impact to the surfacing solutions business. You will have a “hands on” approach and can manage resource deadlines and operational requirements. You will monitor progress and project delivery, with the ability to anticipate problems and work collaboratively with colleagues on both a formal and informal level for resolution and opportunities. You will be a self-starter who is operationally focused and responds appropriately on their own to improve outcomes and process’s. You will assume responsibility for your own performance by demonstrating drive and initiative. You will have strong general business knowledge and awareness, have an analytical approach to work and can work accurately at a detailed level. You will also have strong team ethics, a flexible attitude and be able to adapt to change.
