We are looking for a talented Preconstruction Manager to join our successful team at Winvic Construction, a multi-disciplinary main contractor based in the Midlands, that excels in the delivery of construction projects on a national scale.
As the Preconstruction Manager, you will play a pivotal role in supporting all aspects of the preconstruction phase for projects in the Industrial sector of the business. From the initial receipt of tender information through to submission, you will lead and manage a collaborative team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality tender proposals. Your expertise will also be crucial in guiding the team in the post tender stage through to contract exchange and ensuring a seamless handover to the site delivery team. This role requires strong organisational, communication, and technical writing skills to produce compelling, well-structured tenders that align with client and project requirements and expectations.

Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
* Work in a collaborative manner to lead the preconstruction tender team.
* Agreeing, setting and delivering the tender strategy.
* Identify key risks in each tender and manage through to ensure they are mitigated.
* Identify and capitalise on key opportunities, and provide a strategy for realising.
* Liaison with client teams.
* Technical reviews of tender information and aligning supply chain returns for compliance.
* Manage the submission of the tender offer.
* Co-ordinate and produce presentations for tender interviews and internal meetings, including client facing meetings.
Skills/Experience
* HNC/Degree qualification, ideally in a relevant discipline.
* Proven experience working across multiple levels of an organisation and collaborating with various departments.
* Understanding of programming and sequencing of construction.
* Experience in drafting, reviewing, and submitting proposal responses.
* Ability to deliver both negotiated and competitive opportunities.
* Ability to work on multiple tenders (varying stages) at any given time.
* Understanding of commercial information including; BoQs, quotations and amendments.
* Strong technical writing skills, with the ability to produce clear and concise content.
* Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
* A motivated and ambitious individual with excellent communication and organisational skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and related tools.
